St. Dominic’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School is proud to host its annual Independence Day Celebration, commemorating the freedom and unity of our great nation. Event Highlights:
- Flag Hoisting Ceremony: The celebration will begin with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony, where our national flag will be raised high, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem, instilling a sense of pride and patriotism in everyone present.
- Patriotic Speeches: Students and faculty will deliver inspiring speeches, reflecting on the significance of Independence Day, the values of freedom, and the responsibilities that come with it.
- Cultural Performances: A series of cultural performances, including traditional dances, songs, and skits, will showcase the rich cultural heritage of India and the diverse talents of our students.
- Independence Day Parade: Students will participate in a colorful parade, dressed in traditional attire representing different states of India, celebrating the unity in diversity that defines our nation.
- Patriotic Song Competition: Students will take part in a patriotic song competition, singing songs that evoke the spirit of freedom and honor the heroes who fought for our independence.
- Essay and Drawing Competitions: Competitions focused on the theme of independence and national pride will be held, encouraging students to express their thoughts through essays, poems, and drawings.
- Quiz on India’s Freedom Struggle: An interactive quiz on India’s freedom struggle will be organized, testing students’ knowledge of key events, leaders, and milestones that led to India’s independence.
- Documentary Screening: A special screening of documentaries and short films on India’s journey to independence will be arranged, offering students a deeper understanding of the country’s history and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
- Community Outreach: In the spirit of service and unity, students will engage in community outreach activities, promoting the values of independence, equality, and social responsibility.
