Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds of fees paid to St. Dominic's Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School. Please read this policy carefully before making any payments.

Admission Fee

The admission fee is non-refundable once paid. This fee covers administrative costs associated with processing applications and is retained regardless of whether the student is admitted or chooses to enroll.

Tuition Fee Refund

Tuition fees may be refundable under the following circumstances:

  • Before Academic Year Begins: If withdrawal occurs before the start of the academic year, 75% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
  • Within First Month: If withdrawal occurs within the first month of the academic year, 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
  • After First Month: No refund will be provided for withdrawals occurring after the first month of the academic year.

Other Fees

The following fees are non-refundable:

  • Registration fees
  • Examination fees
  • Laboratory fees
  • Library fees
  • Sports and activity fees
  • Transportation fees (after service has commenced)

Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Submit a written request to the school office stating the reason for withdrawal
  2. Complete and sign the withdrawal form
  3. Return all school property (ID cards, library books, etc.)
  4. Obtain a clearance certificate from all departments

Refunds will be processed within 30-45 business days from the date of receiving the complete withdrawal documentation.

Mode of Refund

Refunds will be processed through the same payment method used for the original transaction. If this is not possible, refunds will be issued via bank transfer or cheque as per the parent/guardian's preference.

Special Circumstances

Exceptions to this refund policy may be considered in the following cases:

  • Medical emergencies (with supporting documentation from a qualified medical practitioner)
  • Family relocation due to job transfer (with supporting documentation from employer)
  • Other exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the school management

All exception requests must be submitted in writing with appropriate supporting documentation.

No Show Policy

If a student fails to attend school after admission without prior notice, no refund will be provided for any fees paid.

Dismissal

In cases where a student is dismissed from school due to disciplinary reasons or violation of school policies, no refund of fees will be provided.

Changes to Refund Policy

St. Dominic's School reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to parents and will apply to fees paid after the effective date of the change.
